Agora Iuris has set up an Armenian Desk to facilitate business and investment flows from Italy and Spain into Armenia, and vice versa.
The firm took part in the first bilateral business meeting held in Yerevan, consolidating its role as a strategic partner in internationalisation processes in emerging markets.
Legal services and business internationalisation firm Agora Iuris took part in the trade mission to Armenia as part of the Spain–Armenia Business Forum, a business gathering intended to become an annual event, aimed at strengthening economic relations between the two countries and generating new opportunities for collaboration.
The forum, organised by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) together with AGBU (Armenian General Benevolent Union), brought together institutional and business representatives in Yerevan to explore investment opportunities in an emerging market of growing appeal to European companies. During the event, Levon Grigorian, President of the ICC Armenia section, underlined the importance of this type of initiative in building a stable bridge between the two business ecosystems.
In this context, Alfredo Izquierdo, CEO of Agora Iuris, took part in a panel discussion in which he shared the firm’s experience in internationalisation processes and in supporting companies in complex markets, highlighting the importance of local knowledge and specialist advisory support in ensuring the success of such transactions.
In line with this strategy, Agora Iuris has launched its Armenian Desk, led by Anna Abgaryan, a lawyer and key figure within the firm’s Legal Department, with the aim of facilitating business relations and investment both from Spain and Italy into Armenia and in the opposite direction.
“Being of Armenian origin myself, it is a genuine pleasure and source of great enthusiasm to be in Armenia and to discover the country’s talent first-hand, particularly in sectors such as IT. Being able to help create and foster synergies between Armenian companies and Spanish and Italian businesses represents a unique opportunity to drive collaborations with significant growth potential,” said Abgaryan.
The creation of this Armenian Desk responds to growing demand for specialist support in international expansion processes, at a time when Armenia is establishing itself as a market with opportunities in sectors such as technology, industry and tourism, as well as acting as a gateway to other countries in the region.

For his part, Alfredo Izquierdo noted: “Internationalisation is not simply a matter of opening up new markets, but of doing so with knowledge, judgement and expert support. Initiatives such as this forum make it possible to identify real opportunities and to build trusted relationships, which are key to the development of long-term projects.”
The Spain–Armenia Business Forum has been launched with the ambition of becoming an established annual fixture for boosting bilateral economic relations, at a time when companies are seeking to diversify markets and access new avenues for growth.
